The reputation for dependability, efficiency and on-time delivery that Tartan Industrial Contractors Ltd. has earned over the past 58 years is due in large part to the quality, dedication and resourcefulness of the people who have been an integral part of the company during that time. This section presents a brief description of some of the individuals who are responsible for ensuring that continued success.

Leon Sampson - General Manager
Leon has overall responsibility for Tartan Industrial's field operations. His oil and gas engineering and construction management background, spanning contracting as well as owner-operator environments, includes more than 10 years of experience in pipelines, process piping, structural steel erection and piling. Leon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University, and is a registered Professional Engineer. He joined Tartan Industrial in 2006.

Cam Ouellette - Redwater & Area Superintendent
Cam has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, including civil, structural, mechanical, fabrication, and welding. For the past 27 years, he has been primarily involved in supervisory and management roles. Prior to joining Tartan, Cam was General Manager and Safety Officer for Precision Gradall, which provides specialized excavation equipment and operators for industrial, commercial, and residential construction.

Frank Goeckel - Maintenance Foreman
Frank has more than 35 years of service with Tartan Industrial beginning as a young summer student. Over the years he has worked almost every labour classification that Tartan has to offer their clients. He has extensive experience with heavy equipment operating which includes highway transportation and oilfield pipeline construction. Frank is currently responsible for the scheduling and dispatching of the Redwater area maintenance crews and equipment. Safety and client satisfaction are top priorities as foreman for Tartan Industrial.

Dale Dachyshyn - Warehouse Manager/Purchaser
Dale has over 25 years of business and industry experience, including an extensive background in inventory management. In his role as Warehouse Manager/Purchaser, he is responsible for the procurement of all tools and related equipment, and managing vendor relationships for the Company. In addition to Redwater and area construction and maintenance activities, he provides support for Tartan's operations in Conklin, including Devon Jackfish, as well as the Husky Energy field maintenance contract in Lloydminster. Other duties include managing rentals, and regular inspection of all gas monitors and other safety related equipment.

Dylan Kunz - Devon Jackfish 1 Maintenance Superintendent
Dylan has over eight years experience in the oil and gas industry. He is a Red Seal Steamfitter / Pipefitter and is currently working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Dylan brings with him experience in pipeline gathering systems and construction of heavy oil, gas and power generation plants. Dylan's background also includes mod, skid and vessel construction for heavy oil applications, critical lift supervision, and QA/QC, as well as extensive experience in sour gas well tie-ins and sour gas plant turnarounds.

Tyson Cross - Conklin & Area Superintendent
Tyson has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is a qualified B pressure welder and also holds a CWB Welder certificate. Tyson has generated an excellent rapport with consultants, contractors, and clients in the area by completing projects within budget and on schedule. He is ultimately responsible for managing the crews and ensuring tasks are completed at the highest level of quality and safety. Tyson joined Tartan Industrial in February, 2008 as Superintendent, after working in the Conklin area for a number of years providing rig welding services to a variety of clients.
