Plant Maintenance and Operating Contracts
Tartan has crews available for long term plant maintenance and
operating contracts. Tartan held a major maintenance contract
with ESSO Chemical Canada (now Agrium) for over 20 years. Currently,
Tartan performs maintenance for:
- Devon: Jackfish 1 SAGD facility
- Devon: Jackfish 2 SAGD facility
- Arc Energy: Redwater Gas Processing Plant
- Provident Energy: Gibbons Fractionation Plant
- Access Pipeline: Gibbons Storage facility
General Oilfield Maintenance
Tartan has field operations in Redwater, Conklin and Lloydminster. Each
operation has a five-acre yard with shop and office space. Tartan
has equipment dedicated to maintaining field facilities and plant
sites within 100 kilometres of each facility. Tartan has the unique
ability to fully service the Conklin area as our Redwater operation
is only 290 kilometres south of Conklin. Our experienced crews
are able to construct, repair, disassemble and perform maintenance
on virtually any type of field equipment.
Tartan is currently under contract with Husky Energy's Heavy Oil & Gas Business Unit for providing field maintenance services for an operational area of approximately 26,000 square km in the Lloydminster general region.

Plant Turnarounds
Tartan's turnaround services provide effective planning, scheduling, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all phases of the plant turnaround process. Our team of experienced professionals is focused on achieving cost efficient, incident free, and timely solutions.
Tartan has proven abilities for providing an all-inclusive, disciplined workforce of 600 – 800 trades dedicated to meeting all customer turnaround requirements. Our current capabilities allow us to service our clients' turnaround needs to a single value of $40-plus million.

Plant and Facility Construction
As a general contractor for plant and facility construction, Tartan's
services include the following:
- Underground facility installation
- Pilings and footings
- Structural steel fabrication and installation
- Piping fabrication and installation
- Module fabrication and installation
- Construction of expansions to existing plants and facilities
- Field construction of compressor stations, pumping stations, batteries, and other field facilities
Pipeline Construction
Tartan has established a strong industry track record for installing
gathering systems (and associated facilities), as well as transmission
and sales lines, many of which have been completed under challenging
weather and terrain conditions. Our strong compliance to land
owner issues and our recognized success working in environmentally
sensitive areas are important contributors to our industry success.

Fabrication & Module Assembly
Tartan Industrial Contractor's fabrication facility
provides in excess of 1,000 diameter inches per day capacity.
In addition to fabricating process piping, non-ferrous piping
and structural steel, Tartan is certified for pressure vessel
repairs and alterations.
Strict quality control policies and procedures, governed by the Alberta Pressure Equipment Safety Authority (ABSA) and other regulatory bodies, control every aspect of materials handling, inspection, documentation, and all other associated requirements. Tartan also has Division II validation with the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB).
